Dragon Animations

I did these two animations of a Gold Dagon and a Red Dragon in flight a long time ago, but only now am I getting around to posting them. Originally intended as flip-animations for the corners of the Draconomicon, they weren’t used because it would have meant creating new graphic layouts for the corners to accommodate them. I guess that wasn’t in the budget.

These were done in Painter, which has a cell animation interface that’s good for this sort of thing. Click on the images to see the animation:

Thanks for sharing these, they’re amazing!! I love that you captured how the wings shift in flight on the second one (the red dragon).

Wonderful job, but I must say that had already seen. “Someone” (not me) had already made this animation, because Wizard of the Coast allowed to download a screensaver with this animation
I even put on my PC.
Anyway is great and I love it, just as I was like then

Beautiful. I have actually used some of your art as examples in my college classes I am taking, and should I get far enough for actual animation, I will have to reference these too.

Also, red dragon has blue… the Izzet have invaded?

Oh my goodness these are wonderful! Now I can’t help but wonder what copper dragons and white and black dragons from the DnD-verse look like in flight.
