Experiment in 3D

This is something I’ve always wanted to try:

Hold your two hands up about six inches from your face, about two inches apart. The idea is to find a position in which your left eye can only see the right image, and your right eye can only see the left image.

Then cross your eyes until the two images merge.

Hah, that’s awesome! :) How long did it take you to separate the different elements into layers and adjust them?

This is great! I can see that you make it 3D after it was painted, wish there could be a little more of that 3D effect on her hands.

  3. Todd says:

Yeah, the hands were last, and my dinner break was about over. I was only screwing around. It took about an hour and a half, I think.

  4. Todd says:

So, you challenged me, and I made her hands a little more 3D. :o) I also made her round bits rounder. May need to go back and touch her cheeks a bit, though …

Isn’t it enough that your work makes me green with envy, ya gotta make me cross eyed too? lol.

    Nice effect…thanks!

I haven’t been able to ge this to work yet. Aren’t both sides of the image identical?

  7. Todd says:

    Cal: NOPE! Keep trying.

Wow! Very awesome effect. I found that I was even able to move my focal point around to examine each section of the new image….very cool indeed…although my eyes are a little sore now LOL
